Today was our first full day in Africa. We arrived around 8pm last night and it was definitely a bit of a culture shock. First off they drive on the wrong side of the road! Oh and there are no rules of the road. It is every man or woman for themselves. Anyways, I will share more about my observations at a later time.
More importantly we got to meet the Kenyan board memebers of Breathe International today. I was quite impressed with their passion and willingness to drive change. We had a very good meeting and I think that we have layed a great foundation for additional ministry in the area. Tomorrow we will travel to a school that is already breaking the chain of poverty and dependence. Through this trip we hope to gain some knowledge and insight so that we can institute similar programs in the future. Friday we will visit the school in Eldoret that Breathe helped get of the ground and is now self sustaining. I look forward to the days ahead and pray that God will provide us with the direction that he would have us go.
Good night from Kenya!
