Tomorrow is the Day!

It has finally arrived.  I leave for Africa tomorrow.  I was blessed this morning to hear about the recent mission trip that members of my church just came back from.  I got to see pictures and hear stories about their time there.  I was feeling a little nervous as the time for my trip continued to get closer, but this morning as I listened to my pastor share about the trip they just returned from my nervousness turned to joy.  I began to feel excited and the fear of the unknown began to drift away.  I have been given the opportunity to touch others lives and to make a difference beyond what I could ever imagine.

I don’t know for certain how my trip will play out or what interactions I will have but I know that the Lord has already gone before me and prepared the way for my journey.  So much so that I may even have the opportunity to visit the same areas and people that my church just came from.  What are the odds of that?!  Only God could orchestrate something of that magnitude.

I appreciate all of you that are following along with me.  I will attempt to update and chronicle my trip as much as I can depending on wifi availability.  If you happen to think of me tomorrow please say a prayer for myself and my brother in law James Miller.  We have a long trip ahead of us and we can use your prayers.  For those of you that donated financially to make this possible.  Thank you!  Thank you!  You are as much a part of this mission as I am and I know that the Lord is going to use us to accomplish great things.

I look forward to keeping everyone updated.  Have a safe and fun filled 4th of July and remember all those that are serving and have served so that we can enjoy the opportunities and freedoms that we have been blessed with.

  1. Know that we have been and will be praying for you both daily. Your Dad asked our Sunday School class to pray for you and they are a bunch of prayer warriors and I know they will do so.
